now, first off, i want to say that i know "if you want to find out who will win a race, just race", but i am going to ask who will win here. my buddy just got a 99 acura 3.2 tl sedan auto, and i have a stick 97 max. who would win in this race? i would race him, but i don't know when we will see eachother again.

 

Hrm.. my dad has a 99TL and i have a 97 stick max .. lol. If only he'd race me ...

The TL has more HP but also weighs like 400some pounds more. I would put my money on the max in a second.

also, i forgot to say that i will be ordering a y-pipe, probably tonight(just not sure which one), and i also am waiting on receiving my frankencar intake. after those, i am sure i would win!!!

 

the '99 TLs only had a 4spd auto, it really sucked away its performance.. the 2000+s had the 5spd auto and it erally helped with performance... now for the Magazine time the '99 did 0-60 in7.4 vs 6.7 for the '00 and up

 

Now i know this isnt a intake post but what is better Frankencar or Place Racing CAI. Im goign w/ the CAI most likely i just want to know what made you pick the frankencar?

if you are even a halfway good driver you will kill the acura. i have beaten 1 of them in my auto, with just my CAI, so have fun tearing him a new one

 

why, i think that i will enjoy destroying him! and, by the way, i am an excellent stick shift driver i learned at work on porsches, ferrari's, vettes, and vipers.

 

I raced one getting onto a highway. You will win no problem. By around 85 or so I was several carlengths ahead. Make sure you get up to 80-100. But I recommend stopping there. Those Vtec thingies are know for their highway revving power. I'm guessing it may pass the max at very high speeds.

I have a 97 gxe 5 spd.When I was stock with a pop charger I've raced 2000 Acura cl Type s's(NOT TL), and i take em like 2 cars till 120mph they pass me and get me like 1 and a half (CAR LENTHS) then at 140 ,141 mph I come back and pass em like a bumper dont worry get em of the hole (YOUR STICK SHIFT U HAVE THE ADVANTAGE)!
