1st Time @ the track....

Today I took my 96 GLE to the Las Vegas Motor Speed way and I think I did rather poorly. However I'm not sure what my car should be clocking at. It has an AT, HKS intake, and HKS muffler with custom (non mandrel bent) cat-back piping. I had a passanger as well. Can I please get feedback on my resluts. Thanks...

Dial ...
R/T ... 1.417
60 ... 2.725
330 ... 7.5061/8 ... 11.326
MPH ... 64.62
1000 ... 14.586
1/4 ... 17.340
MPH ... 81.58

I only know what 1/8 and 1/4 mean. Can someone explain the rest. Thanks again...

R/T is your reaction time - how long it took you to GO after the green light went on.
60 is your 60 foot time - how long it took you to travel 60 feet.
330 is the 330 foot time - "
the MPHs are how fast you were going when u hit the 1/8 mile mark and the 1/4 mile mark.
and 1000 is the 1000 foot mark.

Your 60 foot is absolutely killing you. You need to lay off the gas until your tires get traction. Don't be so greedy with the throttle. Your 60' should be more like 2.3s. For every .1 in the 60' = about .2 in the 1/4. Therefore, you could easily shave nearly 1 second from your ET and add about 3-4mph. The next thing is to tell your friend to watch in the stands. His added weight kills your cars performance. Tell you friend to get out and take you spare and jack while he's at it. Right there you'll shed 40 lbs plus what your friend weighs. 200+lbs reduction in weight will translate into another .2-.3 and gain of 1-2mph. So, you might be looking at upper 15s which is about right for a 4th gen auto without a y-pipe.
