oh my god, i just saw commercial at work today and this is the first car to be 8 speed automatic....wow, i wonder how high the speedometer is....what u guys think?

 

Wow, thats a lot of gears for an auto, or for any tranny for that matter....It'll have MAD acceleration, along with a monster top end....

 

I think this fad with more gears is stupid. I think that jag would actually be slower since it would have to make so many shifts. Even the new maxima with a 6 speed vs. 5 speed in the altima.. Someone please convince me that the 6 speed is better I think it is just some marketing gimmick.. I dont think a 4th gen. max 5 speed could be made to go any faster any other way you gear it.. just my .02

 

I saw a jaguar ad in a magazine and it said a 6 speed auto. More gears means more chances of breaking down and more things to break.

Theres also a 5 speed manual..trust me i sat in one before
