18" Motegi MR7 Racing Wheels On My Max.

I have a 1995 Max and its time to get rims. I want the 18" Motegi MR7's. I went through the application guide at the site and it said that i would be able to put the 18"s on the maxima. I dont beleve that, but what do you guys think.I dont know what offset patterns are and stuff...Thanx Though... And is there any other rims out there that look like the MR7's?

NOT A CHANCE

I know nothing about cars or wheels but I used the handy-dandy search feature and every post out there says that you CANNOT put 18s on a maxima. 17s are the absolute biggest.

Just search and you'll see.

actually if you search you will see that if you go any bigger than a 15 inch wheel you run the risk of ripping off your fender going through turns and in some cases the fender can fly through the windshield and decapitate your passengers. this is a big no-no. just SEARCH and you will see.

Good God! My 99SE came with 16s stock... I think I better contact Nissan to see about a recall. This seems like a real safety hazard!

Ok...........now I don't know anything about wheels and tires, but now I am really scared of getting the 17" rims I want to get. Any other info on this, is it true?

Ok Guys Bad New On The MR7's

I just read a post about the motegi MR7's and i was told that they weigh like 27 pounds or something, so it would be slowing me down because they are so dam heavy. So if the konig tantroms dont weigh as much i think i might go for them...i comepletly forgot about the weight!! Dam!

Konig Tantrums

Everything is good with the 17" Tantrums, but the offset is 30. i read on maximadriver.com that a good offset for maxima's is 35-40. What does offset mean? And if an offset of 30 on my max with 17"s will that be ok with everything?

Me too!

The motegizz mr7 will fit on the max, there are a 4.5 or 5 bolt pattern, 35mm or 40mm offset...all should be fine.

Well, sorry. I have just had my Max for 4 months, and I knew nothing about what wheel sizes fit and then suddenly I'm told my girlfriend could lose her head. Had me spooked for a second.

I won't be a newbie forever.

Steve,
It's us wise, married Maxima owners that know that adding any modification to your car can result in your woman losing her head... or blowing her stack, or whatever analogy you want to.

The only problem I've had with the 18's is this one time... at band camp...
