Just bought a 99 SE Limited Edition

Hello all! After months of car shopping to find the 'perfect' used car, I found this beauty of a car, a 1999 Nissan Maxima SE Limited Edition. Its Black with Charcoal Interrior and is in perfect condition. Before I jump in to personalizing it, I was just curious what the Limited Edition means. I have search the net but have not found any answers. Any one have any idea?

-Mark

PS. Im hopeing to get some pics in the near future. I dont see anything obvious except for a diffrent "SE" symbol...

Congrats on the car! Great color choice too, I love super black! Basically limited edition gives you the SE badges and the gauges and wheels has a titanium hint to them. Also the leather is a bit different in the SE-L. I think that's about it though.

Thanks for the info! I did notice the titanium tint in the gauges. My car actually doesnt have leather, but it a charcoal chloth. The car is also an automatic. I decided that living in a city it would make my life a little easier. I will prolly regret this 6 months down the road, but what can you do. Now if I can only stop staring at this thing!

the se-l was nissans 99.5 car for the most part. I don't know if you remember at the time their advertising campaign really pushed the AZTEC RED LIMITED at the time because they don't make red but for limited times. last time before 99 was 90. If you had leather your seats would have se engraved in them. All the se-l's have the se-l badges, higher polished rims and it seems as though some of the parts are different from the regular 99's

I have a 99 se limited in red with black leather, and i've noticed a few differences, it is cali spec for one, also i bought a fstb for 4th gens for 95-99 and it doesn't fit because there is a peice in the way that the other 4th gens don't have, a stillen fstb fits but i bought this one race sonic, which doesn't, also being cali spec there isn't an o2 sensor coming out of the cat into the b pipe, so far that's all i know

Thanks!

Kevin and njmaxseltd I noticed in your pictures that you have mud flaps. I was wondering if you added them or did they come with the car? Mine does not have them and I like the way they look. If you did add them and ideas where I could or pick up a set?

I picked them up at my local dealer. I think the set of 4 was 90 bucks. I then painted them the same color as my car. Sort of a cheap body kit mod.

I picked mine up at Auto zone for $20 for the set. They look very close to the factory ones.
