Zex 75 shot
Zex 75 shot
Hi all,
after playing around with the nitrous, I feel like it's just not what I expected. I thought it would be more of a rush just a kick in the *** feeling , but it's really not. I even moved up from a 55 to 75. Don't get me wrong, I can defin. feel the difference between. no nitrous and nitrous. But I'm saying it isn't all that fast feeling as they make it seem in the movies. Am I right?

With a 75 shot my tires will squeal at 50 mph and knocks almost 2 seconds off my 1/4 mile.

You cannot get even close to the HP advertised if your bottle is not up to the proper pressure, it makes a huge difference. You car is running mega rich with stock jetting and low bottle pressure.
You may get away with a 75 shot with your stock fuel pump but monitor closely if you do, if the fuel pressure drops off you can kill the engine. (pumps are about $115)
Squeeze safely.

You need a bottle warmer if you are serious at all but you have to have the gauge its mandatory. (if you want any kind of performance)

Walbro Part # is GSS342, just in case you go somewhere else looking for it.
You need the High Pressure, Hi Flo with the Dry Kit, its $116.
There was a group buy on for around $80, but its over. This is his site. They are $110 but he did take off $15 for the kit which is not required for the Max so the maximum you should have to pay is $95. Email and ask him.

Also buy the large O-ring from Nissan that seals the top of the tank. The stock one will not fit when you try to reinstall, it gets much larger when exposed to air.
Jim
PS I just noticed on the Groupbuycenter that he is selling them for $99.
Yeah, you definitely should be impressed (if not addicted) with a 75 shot. I'm spraying a 50 shot with the NX single nozzle and I can't keep the tires from burning. It's enough to scare me into not using it all the time. But I think I will switch to 75 soon enough. Now if I could just get an increased fuel flow on my returnless system...

I am going to do a separate fuel system which I was going to try on a 2k2, but decided to stay with the 4th Gen for this year. I think its the easiest way for the returnless system for 100+ shots.

Did a compression check when I put new plugs in and everything is fine. Set up---high pressure fuel pump, jwt nitrous daughter board, 370cc injectors, A/F meter, n20 pressure gauge with bottle warmer. It just doesn't impress(msp?) me. Checked n2o filter-fine, checked lines, selenoid(msp?) all fine. Running 100shot (dry) and it only takes 1.4 seconds off my E.T. at best. Keep checking plugs and no lean conditions. I'm at a loss? Any suggestions?

You should be doing much better with your setup. Are you running a S-AFC or anything to modify your air/fuel, or how do you know what it is with the injectors, JWT etc?

I ran exactly the same time with a 100 shot dry as I did with a 75 shot wet which was 13.6, or 2 seconds vs N/A.

The JWT is supposed to handle the mixing of fuel to n2o. I called them and they said that my program will handle the duties with the injector size I have up to 100 shot. 125 was pushing it they said.
What gives? I've tried a few times to find some help tuning the BIATCH to no avail.
Can't find a person that I feel is competent enough, locally, to allow me to be comfortable enough to let them work on it.

I don't know anything about the JWT at all. Not sure how many guys are running them but I haven't heard anything bad about them.
125 is pushing it with any setup on our cars. However as long as we know the consequences and are willing to pay to play it ok.
