Serious question for nitrous users

I would like to know how many members are spraying or have sprayed 100 shot (WET). I have been spraying a 75 wet shot on my 96 5sp SE for sometime now (over 20 bottles). I have not run into any problems, I want to start spraying a 100 shot and have heard many different opinions on this. I would like to know from you guys which are spraying 100 what you think. What kind of problems if any did you run into? Do I need to do anything before I bump up the shot? Here is a list of my performance mods:

PR CAI
Stillen Y-PIPE
Random Tech CAT
Stillen Cat back exhaust
Walbro fuel pump
ACT NM1-HDMM clutch
Aero Fuel pressure regulator
Nitrous gauge
EGT gauge
Fuel Pressure gauge (Fuel pressure @ 42psi)

I'm currently on 125 shot, but getting traction is a B*tch.

Well I'm not as experienced in nitrous matters as other members, but it looks to me like you're all set.

That is what I was afraid of. I have decent traction now at the track. I have BF comp TA drag radials on. My 60's are 2.1, trying to better that. Are you spraying the 125 on stock internals?

1MAX2NV, you're direct port right? When you spray is that on regular pump gas? My Nitrous setup is a single fogger wet system.

I'm running street tires at the track. I can't get any better then 2.4 60ft time. 125 shot on stock internal is not a problem. Tranny is what most people worry about.

I had my tranny replaced already last year. It's holding up pretty good now. I recently started using the drag radials (225/50/15) on my stock rims and they make a huge difference. I use to run on my Sumitomo (225/40/18) and traction was S%$T!!! My best times with the 18's were 14.2, I have recently dropped to a 13.9 @98mph. I know I can get it a bit lower, but next week I will be dropping in the 100 shot jets and run on 103 octane. I want to see what she pulls on the track. Want to go soon the weather has been nice down here.

SINGLE FOGGER?. You are the first I have heard of running the NOS Wet system.

You have all the stuff you need to move up to a 100. That is one heck of a kick though. You should have no problems with your setup.

I have run the 125 and the 150 on my single nozzle wet NX System but not for long periods.

This year I plan on running at least the 125 and will probably try the 150 at the track. However, I am going to run a separate fuel system for the nitrous and C16 so that will help a lot with any pre-igniton. I am also installing the S-AFC II, Wide Band O2 Sensor and a data logger so I will be keeping a close eye on whats happening and hopefully making adjustments as necessary.

You are going to have fun with a manual trans though, you should really have the maximizer so you can control the shot. Sounds like you really have traction problems though, I only ran a 75 shot for one run and it pulled a 13.6. Maybe you should think about slicks if you are really serious. My drag radials just didn't cut it either.

I appreciate everyone's input. I feel much more confident now on spraying 100. I have plans in next coming month to install an S-AFC. When I installed the Nitrous, I hade my car dyno tuned. The tech at the shop suggested I get one. I will drop in the 100 jets and get the car dyno'd again, want to check my air/fuel. I might even wait until I install the S-AFC. I looked in the maximizer, have to save up some $$$$$.

Off the subject but curious as to the name 'PBeach'. By chance could that be P'cola Beach?

I agree 100%. Traction is very hard to come by sometimes even with full slicks. The kick of 125+ wet is a pretty good one. Trannies don't like the jolt, especially autos. I noticed you didn't mention plugs. You should be 2 steps colder if you are going 100+ shot. The S-AFC is a big help too once tuned in.

Good thing you mentioned it JAIME. I am using the ZEX Hyperformance Nitrous spark plugs. I wasn't sure which ones to go with. What do you guys suggest?

The best spark plugs to use while on the juice are the NGK coppers. They are economical and resist higher cyl pressures better than the plats. I don't remember the stock number off the top of my head, but they are the oem for 300zxTT ones. You can pick them up just about any autoparts.

NGK V-groove BKR6E-11 Stock number 2756 -> 1 step colder
NGK V-groove BKR7E-11 Stock number 1283 -> 2 step colder

Order by the stock number...that's what most auto parts store use as part number. Nobody use the BKR except for NGK themself.

What's "V-Groove." I'm running the BKR6E-11 a.k.a NGK 2756 and the boxes for mine all said "V-Power." I'm sure it makes no difference but I'm wondering if that was a typo or if the plugs you're talking about are different then mine.

The top ground strap on the plug has a V-groove. It means nothing really.
