I'm getting a EGT. Now I'm thinking between a nitrous pressure gauge, A/F gauge or fuel pressure gauge. Which one would I need most?

most importatn i belive is the EGT, u need to know if ur running lea/rich so u dont screw up ur motor first off.

Second would be the nitrous pressure, its important to know what pressure your bottle is running at. To low, would use its full effect, to high, result in not such a nice day.

As for the Fuel pressure, i have a 2k2 so it has a returnless fule system, so i really see no use for this gauge, its constatly at 52 psi. When i punch it, it dropt to ~49-50.

Contact Jim 'jime' for basically anything about nitrous =]

Since search isn't working I can't reference anything, but generally on 4th gens I've read the order of importence goes fuel pressure, EGT, nitrous pressure. Our fuel pressure is ~34 psi at idle, and jumps up to ~43 at WOT. When using nitrous the pressure gets bumped up considerably higher, and you want to make sure that the fuel pressure is high enough to compensate for the nitrous. How many gauges you use also depends on what type of shot you plan on running.

Edit: Whoops I missed the NX part. I'm running a dry kit.

On a wet kit, your fuel pressure is not going to get bumped up, but I would still want to keep an eye on it, especially if your using your stock fuel pump. I would also get an EGT, and a nitrous pressure gauge. Stay away from the A/F ratio gauge, unless your looking at one of the wideband models that cost $400+. Otherwise, your just buying a rainbow.

So far I plan on putting the EGT really low on the A-pilar and sticking one other gauge where the ashtray is. So maybe I'll put the fuel pressure gauge in the ashtray and forget about nitrous pressure? Or maybe put the nitrous pressure gauge inside the arm rest? Don't really have to keep an eye on it all the time right?

The only time you really need to look at the nitrous pressure gauge is when you're about to spray. I don't have one in the cab yet but I really wish I did. Kinda makes you feel stupid to have a remote bottle opener and still go to the trunk to look at the bottle pressure. I plan on sticking mine in the ashtray along with the switch for the bottle heater.

I plan to put my nitrous pressure gauge inside the center armrest. You can just peak at it every once in a while. EGT is going on the a-pilar and fuel pressure is going in the ashtray. I'm still not too sure about fuel pressure. I'm just going to run a 50 shot wet.

fuel pressure would be advisable...in my case I am running boost and EGT...I am getting rid of the AF gauge if you want to consider it...

PM me for more info...
