n2o for MEVI

Ok, I have converted to the MEVI and am having problems mounting the WOT switch on the TB. Any Suggestions? Please.

I had mine mounted, but I broke the bolt/nut while tightening. When I get it installed again I'll take pictures.

SLC I30t: I was looking at your dyno pull numbers and was wondering what I will dyno at with: NX 75 shot at 950 psi, intake and y pipe? I am also a 5 speed.

Well I hope better numbers than mine. I had really really rich numbers on the a/f mixture. Infact I was off the scale rich. So I've done some stuff to try and keep the Fuel Pressure where it was supposed to be. Once I get this MEVI installed I'm going to do a 3 pull... With out the MEVI, with the MEVI and the last will be with MEVI and n2o. If you are looking for better numbers I would use your stock tires.

I'm interested to see your results I want to see what kind of numbers you pull, and how the curve looks with the nitrous. I would imagine the optimum activation point may even change (it would probably be lower than 5k).

Maybe this will help

Or this

Or this

And at any rpm I'm at it seems when I activate the VI while spraying there is a power increase.

Have you dyno tested your theroy?

I know with the SC or NA with it open at ANY RPM under 4700 there is a power loss

I ain't knocking YA. Nitrous is the TQ solution. So I am thinking that having it open may help not hurt.

Just curious

I didn't think to do it when I dynoed, but you can definetly tell the increase. Maybe its better nitrous distribution?

That may be something for a n2o user to try. I have never thought about this. But It could not hurt.

And thinking about it a little more you may have less TQ BUT more HP when it is open.

And that is the power your feeling..hmmm

ok I"m getting ready to have my car Dyno'd in 2 weeks. I'm going to get an hour dyno. I can try a few of these theories.

I'm going to do:
1 run base line with VI.
1 run with 85 shot
1 run with vi opening at a lower RPM, but how low?
?
?
?
?

The most thorough combination I can think of would be one or two runs of the following:
NA
1) VI closed
2) VI open
3) VI opening at the crossover point between the two torque curves from 1 and 2

Nitrous
1) VI closed
2) VI open
3) VI opening at the crossover point between the two torque curves from 1 and 2

That would give you the best idea of what's making the most torque at a given rpm (on or off the bottle), and would also minimize things down to 1 independent variable per dyno. That's lots of dynos, but you'd have a wealth of VI NA/nitrous information

Live it to someone like hype to come and put LOGIC into this.

BTW see my thread, I do not wanna jack this thread

But you make a VERY valid point. I guess I overlooked that VERY simple in my face idea..lol

Oh well that is why you talk about ideas with others to get a different perspective.

Thank you
