NITROUS first time not so good
Hooked up the 20923 nx kit today. Got my bottle filled the other day for $4 a pound . Went home weighd it on my scale came up 4.5lb short then weight it on my friends scale came up 5lb short i know these are not the best scales but two can't be off that much and at $4 dollars a pound im ****ed. So i hooked it all up take it for a test on a 35 then a 50 shot(two-three 5 second shots each at like 900 psi) Put 75 shot in and look at plugs(plugs looked good but were black around edge maybe a little rich?) Got one-two good 5 second shots with the 75 shot then, it felt like no nitrous was there. Look at pressure and it was down to 450-500psi. I guess i was 5lbs short of nitrous after all! Also I have a fpss and i think it disarms the system at like 5000rpm with the 75 shot and it is set at 35 psi, whats happining? I though i could use a stock fuel system with this shot? To top it all off something is the matter with the d-4 manifold for my transducer as i found out it leaks at the npt threads and I can not tighten anymore b/c the threads bottom out which there not supposed to. Oh yeh and the clutch slips to top it all off but i knew the stock clutch sux.

hmm..
did you use teflon?
Ive never had a sudden decrease in pressurelike that...
even if I can NO nitrous left..theres still air pressure int he bottle..
Have you checked all of the lines for leaks? Inspect the lines everywhere.
Inspect your solenoids for leaking...mine were...
Dont forget the bottle openere weighs...4 a pound is outrageous

I hope you werent trying to run a 75 shot on stock fuel pump. I woulodnt do that if I were you. Check your bottle. When I got my NOS kit and filled the bottle it was missiong a plastic washer that seals the nozzle. You can use teflon paste. Dont use teflon tape. Not good

yea well the 2002 maxima fuel pump is better than the 4th gen thas why. You shouldnt have too much of a prob running a wet with a 5th gen. But for a 4th gen it is highly reccommended to upgrade fuel pump after a 60 shot. Thas why i havent run more than a 60 shot cause I left my maxima before I could upgrade.

If you do upgrade buy a 190 lph standard pressure pump and you will not need an aftermarket FPR and should be good up to about 500 HP. This only applies to NX.
Our average price is Canada is $3.50 a lb US or $5 Cdn and also make sure you get a place than only charges for what they put in, not charge you for a full 10 lbs even though they just put 5 or 6 lbs in. Many places try and do that.

Jime, im planning on increasing the jet sizes to a 100 shot, DO you think the presuure should stay pretty contant? What do you think the fuel will start to drop at, bucase I was thinking of a 125 shot and going DP with the Piranha next month or so.
