Walbro question again

Messed up on the pump again. What parts am I getting rid of? To make it fit, the rubber seal on the top, the rubber thing on the bottom, and the fuel filter was removed. I checked out LatinMax's writeup already too but I need a little more help. Answer soon please!!

What I did was shave off the plastic tabs on the top and bottom of the pump, took off the rubber seal and forced the filter in. I was able to get leave the fuel filter on and use the pump but had to take off the rubber seal. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

I shaveed the plastic ridges and terminal protectors on the top of the walbro pump to look liket he stock pump(Sock one is trimmed too). Didn't use lower rubber support(Goes between the pump and the "lock"). And I also trimmed the top rubber seal/fitting(the ledge that sticks out) and put that fitting on the pump so the flared piece of the output pie sticks through the fitting - not insert it into the cartridge - otherwise it gets compressed into the cartridge and doesn't seal as well imho.
I did use the the fuel pickup and the pickup lock washer - that was a ***** to put on the new pump...

I jsut re-read it and it doesn't make any sense unless you're looking straight at it. If you want you can PM me and I'll send you my cell phone number...

It was such a pain to install the pump for 5th gen that I would recommend anyone with a 5th gen to buy a booster pump instead. It would be alot easier!

Sounds good. Thanks for the info. I have a different problem now with the pump. The car is hard to start and it cuts out when the gas tank is low.
is it because of one of these things?
1.The O ring is not put in right
2.The connector hoses to the tank are not tight enough
3.Not screwed down tight enough?
4.That fuel filter is not on the bottom of the pump
I had the warning light on for awhile but now it went away.
