Fuel pressure and EGT readings/ questions
Fuel pressure and EGT readings/ questions
I'm prepearing my car for a wet nitrous set-up (allready have NX kit sitting in my garage). To keep track of things and to get some baseline stats I've installed an Autometer fuel presure gauge(electric) and pyrometer in addition to the existing transmission temperature gauge.
After driving around the block a few times here's what I see:
At idle:
Fuel pressure is 37 psi and EGT is low (around 800F I think).
At WOT @ 6400+ RPM :
Fuel pressure is around 46psi and egt is 1400F.
Is this normal/acceptable for future nitrous use ? EGT that high kind of scares me, is my car running stupid lean up top ?...

Re: Fuel pressure and EGT readings/ questions
I'm a dumbass and should've searched:
Those kinds of EGTs are normal for NA
Fuel pressure is a tad high but OK for an upgraded 190lph pump.
For those who care my EGT proble is about 3-4" down from the back exhaust manifold on the Y-pipe
Thanks to Eric(ejj) for some of the answers.
