Spark Plug Question
Spark Plug Question
Running the BKR5E-11 NGK copper plug at stock heat range, how much of a wet shot can I run? I'm pretty sure it's 50 right? So I gap the stock .039-.043 down .005 at 50?
If I were to run a 75 or a 100 wet shot, would you recommend I go down one step in heat range?

I just changed my plugs today and thought of this same thing. If I were you I wouldn't go past 50 shot on the BKR5E. Maybe just one step colder for 75 shot but definitely two steps colder (BKR7E) for the 100 shot.
I pulled my plugs and saw some white specs on the electrodes of a few of them. But that was with platinum plugs on a 50 shot (probably shouldn't have been doing that). Now I have the BKR6E for a 75 shot and I'll see how that goes.
