Depends on whether you have traction or not. If you run slicks you should knock off way over a second. If you run street tires it could be anything, even slower if you sit there and burn.

Remember, RACE TRACE requires RACE TIRES, otherwise you are just playing. Which of course we all are anyway.

doesn't the nitrous become activated after a certain rpm? can u not wait until after u get some traction on ur launches before having the nitrous come out? or does it work out of the hole?

You can get an RPM switch, but some people use WOT switches which are activated by a switch inside your car. You can spray at whatever RPM you want, then during shifts, the spray turns off, once you become WOT again, it activates again.

Unless your running DR or slicks, you cannot spray out the hole unless your attempting a burnout ...

I spray from 2nd on....

I ran a 14.5 at 98 mph on DR and running the Zex dry kit det at 55 shot

it worked pretty much just past the starting line and ran all the way out to the end...worked pretty well....R/T and 60 foot could have been better but I was happy

R/T .966
60' 2.349
330' 6.314
1/8 9.504
MPH 77.34
1000' 12.244
1/4 14.544
MPH 98.04

Wow, even with DR you were only able to get 2.3 60'. Now I know not to buy them.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you're mods? 14.9 is a good time for a NA Auto.

But my estimate, with traction, I can see you doing 13.5s or better if you're able to spray out of the hole with slicks. But just with street tires, well driven (still spinning down the track), I'd have to guess, 14.0s. But it will be a fun 14 second run. Have you ever spun half way through 2nd gear?

At that time intake w/ midpipe, budget y-pipe, straight pipe, warpspeed b-pipe, Matrix muffler, udp. Since then i've added s-afcII and vb mod. This run was on slicks [Thank to Mardigras Max] but i let off before i went to the traps b/c one slick was losing air due to a nail causing my steering wheel to vibrate bad. I believe my times was 60' 2.20 and a 14.91 @84.25.

Yeah but remeber i was off the gas with o/d off so the car was slowing itself down. As far as deciding a shot, i can't even get traction w/ a 50 shot spraying in second, so if you go above that you might want to consider getting slicks IMO. But i went to MIR today...60' 2.40 1/4 14.83 @97.38mph. Spinning off the line..again. But i took out a 350Z!!!

I wish i knew, but if i floor it from first and and hit second i can break the tires loose without NOS. It also probably has something to do with me putting 201fwtq N/A.

What mods do you have to make 201fwtq and do you have a dyno?

I dynoed @ srt in college park MD. There were a couple of org members there who witnessed it. Unfortunately you would have to download the program to view it, or i can try to get a still picture of it. My mods are listed in the post above.

If I am very gentle when I shift I can keep the tires under control but if I am shifting hard while spraying I can light the tires up in first, second, or third gear, this is with my 85-shot making a little over 300ft/lbs. so traction is a problem, so I do not doubt you breaking loose going into 2nd in an auto. The 201ft/lbs. sounds like you spiked the dyno, I would love to look at your graph and see what the curve looks like

I cant even spray 50 shot in first.Ill just spin. Somehow onece at the track I got traction with 50 shot in first and chirped 2nd hard but not spun them and rar a 14.4@95mph. With a 75 shot I just burn the clutch in first gear to where I cant drive the car and it slips so bad for an hour. I spray 75 shot from second gear and no traction problem. Do you guys think I am not making the power that I should be?
