BKR6E Gapping?

I Ordered these plugs and I need to gap them. I see everywhere on this site that there are BKR6E-11 plugs, but mine do not have the -11 on the end of it. When I check on the gap coin, It stops on .037 for all of them. What is the exact gap number I should be at if I rarely use a 70 shot?

Also, about the gap coin, do I take measurement when it starts to feel like it is catching, or when I can't move it up on the coin anymore?

1. Don't use the coin gapper they are a POS. Get a proper wire gauge if you want accuracy.

2. My BKR7E's come pre gapped at .035 which is probably what yours are. I leave mine right there.

3. The -11 is 1.1 mm or .044" which is the stock gap for our plugs.

You should be ok.

I don't own a torque wrench. However, I have been doing this all my life so you sort of get a feel for it. I raced bikes and snowmobiles for a few years and changed plugs on aluminum heads almost daily.

If you don't have experience, get a torque wrench, I have seen many strong arms break stuff and create mega headaches and cost lots of money. Its usually overtightening that causes the problems not the reverse.

I am just in the process of doing a website which I will try and have just about everything I know on. (shouldn't take too much for that)

Going to have a plug page as well as all the other mods I have either adopted or came up with to try and help folks out.

So far I just have the first page but going to start working on it this week.

It located here: or by clicking on the WWW at the bottom.
