What clutch are you running?

What clutch is everyone using with there nitrous setup?

Im on a factory replacement SACHS, the sucker is gone, cant even spray anymore with it. Im running a 75 shot and was looking to see what people are having luck with, weather its ACT, Exedy stage 1, or if the OEM replacment works...

Thanks
-Chris

My cant even handle the 35 shot but doesnt slip when NA, weird. I will be going with the exedy clutch. I would go with another oem clutch but I dont think it can hold a 75 shot in first gear. The one I was currently on my car would just slip so bad in first that my clutch would overheat and I couldnt even race in teh rest of the 1/4 mile.

SonicDust187 I have the same problem now... At first when i installed the nitrous my clutch actuly held the 75 shot for a while, then after a month i could only do it with 1 person in the car or it would slip...now that the weather is getting cool i cant get it to grab for anything.. I think im going with the EXEDY too... suprized no one has tryed it with a nitrous setup

Like wise if you beat me too it... My rents wont let me work anymore since im going to school full time now. so saving for it is going to take some time. 600 installed is an awsome price. I converted my car to a 5 speed about a year ago so since i know how im going to install the clutch my self.

Good luck and let me know.

Hey I was reading around and i was looking over the Centerforce clutch stange one.. I know alot of the boost guys say this clutch is crap...and it could be due to the fact that it only holds 30% over stock, while act and exedy are like 36 and 39.

But shouldent 30% be more then enough for nitrous?

What do you guys think?

I dont think its the clamping force. I think they dont like the clutch because it goes bad easily and makes teh car very hard to drive.

I read it is not a good clutch for our cars. Just get an Exedy clutch and have it installed. It should handle nitrous. How big of a shot are you running?

Edit: I just did a search and this thread is the best I found. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ht=Centerforce
