Can I safely leave bottle in trunk all the time?

Can I leave it in the trunk all year long when its filled? or do I have to store it at home?

It's legal as long as the bottle is closed. Just get a remote bottle opener, or just leave it closed until you get to the track

Yeah, I usually leave it closed. But whats considered closed? If the bottle valve is open and the bottle opener is closed, is that still considered closed?

And yes I do have a bottle opener.

I always thought the line has to be disconnected from the bottle to be legal?

It does have to be disconnected from the line to be legal. I had a cop pull me over one night and he broke it down for me. Since I didnt know at the time he let me go with a warning and made me in front of him take it off. The bottle was empty so I guess it wasnt a big deal to him. It is ok to leave it in the trunk unless you leave yer bottle heater on like that one guy, everyone should have known or seen the pics of the guy with a max that left his bottle heater on and in his garage, that doods garage was toast

It's possible it varies state to state. Contact your local state trooper.

Having it hooked up and turned on is legal where I live.
Also you will cause no damage by leaving the heater on if the regulator is working properly. Even if it isn't you still won't cause any damage, it will just pop the safety blow off cap, unless of course you have 2 pressure relief discs installed like that jerk that blew up the Max in his garage.

Thanks. Would you happen to know what the fine/result would be if I cop did pull me over with the bottle hooked up and it was opened or closed?

CA seems to be more strict than other states when it comes to modifications. Here in NJ i doubt the cop would do anything except be more inclided to give you a ticket for the reason you were pulled over because you have go-fast juice in your car. But I may be wrong.

the cops have NO right to check your trunk.!!! if they ask to search your car, you simply ask for a search warrant.

Do you know what probable cause is. If you tell them no they cant look in your car then they will haul you off to jail and inpound yer car and then search the **** out of it and probably strip it down.

and the reason i'm worried is because when they see the nitrous pressure gauge, i'm sure they'll ask me about whether or not i have nitrous.

i was driving and a cop pulled me over for speeding. After he got his flash light and took a look inside my windows, he asked "you mind if i take a look in your trunk?" and i told him "yeah, if you have a search warrant". and he said "very well, have a nice day"

wouldn't a nitrous gauge give the cop a reason to search my car for the bottle?

Maybe if you were caught speeding but if they stop you for something like illegal lane change then it would be irrelivent to ask to see the bottle.
