JWT 65 shot vs. NX 50 shot.....more noobie questions...
I called JWT a while ago to get some info on their ECU, and started talking to the guy about nitrous. I asked him about the compatibility of the NX kit and their ECU, and he said the obvious "wet kits will cause puddles in the intake runners" (or whatever they always say). I told him nobody has really had a problem with that yet, but he said the JWT setup is much safer.
When I do get nitrous, I want to start off with a small shot, between 50 and 65. I originally wanted the NX kit because of the price, and ease of use (no tuning). But after talking to him, their kit sounded pretty good, if expensive. I want maximum NA performance from my car, since that's how it will be most of the time. It's for this reason why the JWT kit sounds so nice. Their nitrous ECU (piggyback I guess??) has a switch that allows you to switch between NA and nitrous. Since the ECU is already tuned for a 65 shot, and the kit is probably tuned for it too, it sounds like there would be minimal tuning involved. However, their kit including the nitrous ECU is very expensive. At this point I'm still weighing my options, and trying to get some more input about the situation. Has anybody every priced out what the total price of the kit is?
I want this kit to keep the car reliable. This is of the utmost importance to me. If their ECU is tuned for the 65 shot, that sounds pretty encouraging. However, I might want to upgrade at some point. I'm guessing that means I can't upgrade the JWT kit because of the tuned ECU.
I talked to this guy quite some time ago, so please pardon me if I got some of the info mixed up. All input is welcome. Thanks a lot guys!!

The kit is about 1500. It's a good kit considering you get all the gains of the ECU when you aren't in nitrous mode and that you wont have to worry so much about tuning.
But then again, you can just buy a regular nitrous kit for around 500.

Also, I have the stock LSD unit in my 5 speed, and I was told it doesn't handle much more power than stock very well. Any opinions about it?
With JWT you technically don't need ant gauges. That is until you start to get gready and run bigger shot of n2o. It sounds as if the JWT is for you, great gians for n/a driving and the nitrous program. Take it from me get the 100 program and startof with a smaller pill if that makes you feel more at ease. The only thing you will be doing is running rich while shooting the nitrous. That's much better than going lean. So until you start trying to push the envelope you have no use for gauges except maybe a nitrous pressure gauge.
