I'm considering getting a small shot of nitrous over the summer. There is NO WAY that I would ever add any type of exhaust modifications to my car, I just hate the sound of it. If I ran the stock exhaust system, would it restrict my gains a lot? Is it really necessary to get an aftermarket system to run a small shot of nitrous, like a 35 or 50 shot? Thanks.

Get a ypipe atleast. Thats 15-20whp right there, and it hardly alters the sound of the exhaust if you keep the catback stock.

I'd have to hear it first before I bought it.

no. you dont need anything with a small shot. i started my first 60 shot dry stillen kit bone stock. but if you want the full benefits the more modding you do the better your performance..

Did the shot give you good gains even with no other mods?

yes. my car stock auto from cally, was very slow and sluggish. my track
time was about 15.9 in the 1/4. my first modd was a stillen airflow
and the stillen 60 shot dry. stillen said that this was the safest for my car. i went to the track and did a 14.7 @ 96mph thats over a sec shaved off.. and that was on street tires. if i had racing radials maybe 14.5 flat. then i put the y-pipe and exhaust catback then i was at
14.1 @ 99 mph . then when i added the s/c 13.4 secs..all with stock tires...
