ny-trex premo kit

I have just ordered a Ny-trex kit for $579

http://www.ny-trex.com/html/ny-trex_kits_1.html (copy and paste link into browser)

Ny-Trex EFI "Primo" Wet System
50-75-100 HP. Includes Purge Kit, Liquid Filled Gauge Kit, Safety Switch Kit, Aircraft Arming Switch Kit

The most complete kit in the industry with all the upgrades Included. Purge Kit, Liquid Filled Gauge Kit, Fuel Safety Switch Kit, Aircraft Arming Switch Kit. Nobody can offer a more complete set-up at this price. Ny-Trex does not compromise perfromance or quality at this price....we offer very competitive products at less than competitors price.

has anyone else used this kit? or heard anything about it. It will be going into my 3rd gen max with auto tranny. i am planning to run a 50 shot in all gears (after 3000rpm)

the car is pretty much stock. only upgrades are a pop charger with a cold air intake and a 3" cat back exhaust i got cheap at a junkyard.

the cold air intake and pop charger made a noticable difference over the stock filter.

No one in australia does up maximas but thats cause they dont realise how pimpin they are... i will include pics and performance figures when installed...

I have installed the kit (almost just got to wire up the WOT switch) and have the following things to say about it.

The quality is excellent. it comes with every nut and bolt needed and has excellent instructions.

Everything fits and the main line is exactly the right length for a 3rd gen maxima.

The Jets, nozzle and solanoids are NX brand just rebadged and the bottle and other bits look really cool.

All goes well i will be spraying a 50 shot this week.

I have just serviced my tranny and need to to the drop mod before i spray.

Will keep u guys updated...

Yea I was going to say, those solenoids look just like NX. isnt the nozzle also a rebadged NX shark nozzle too? looks familiar also.

the kit is up and running...

tried the 50 shot and everything went well.

The biggest problem is the bottle pressure is about 750PSI. so as soo as you hit it the pressure drops and i am getting nowhere near the boost i should be getting....

I ran a 13.3 on street tyres tho! (using G tech)

pretty happy with the results. I am going to make a bottle heater and to the tranny drop mod and i will post pics!

I bought an electric 12V Blanket from an electronics store for $19 and its a heater and blanket in one. the bottle heaters here are about 125. so it was a much cheaper option and it heats the bottle to 1000psi in about 10 min.

i am running the 100 shot and the whole system is tuned and is has be dyno'd. running 98octane fuel with 2step colder plugs and mild intake changes and a decent exhaust it is running 246 HP at the wheels with nitrous and only 139 without!

i have also done the tranny drop mod and it works perfectly.

I dont expect this tranny to last long but i already have a rebuilt one ready to go in that has a long list of heavy duty bits in it.

the engine is in excellent shape the guy at the dyno tune said it was in excellent condition and it doesnt lean out at all with 100 shot. we had to re-jet the fuel as the jet sulpplied with the kit was producing 17 less HP than the size we ended up with.

I am very happy with the setup. The car does not torque steer much and it feels great to drive.

I still have to put in a tranny cooler and possibly a window switch.

pohtos coming soon

1992 VG Auto.

17" rims with 225 40 17 falken ziex i think
lowered 2.5 with h/d springs
pop charger with cold air intake
cat back exhaust

no real major performance mods. although i do have new injectors and the fuel pump is from a RB30det.

i also am looking for info on the throttle body. has anyone changed the stock setup to a big single?. I want to move the nitrous nozzle closer th the throttle. At the moment it is about 3" from the air flow meter and it sprays through all those bends. Has anyone tapped the intake pipe before the throttle body for the nozzle?

a lot of people drilled and tapped right into the throttle body. I believe NOS sells a special sized tap just for this application.

Good luck with traction with that 150 shot. I've raced a VG Auto with a 125 shot street tires and he was still spinning the tires in 2nd gear and barked them going into 3rd. That was with NO vb mod. His tranny didn't hold the power and I think it finally blew a few months later.

With street tires on a 150 shot, I doubt you will get anything better than low 14s. Yes, I know it sucks. But you'll need better traction before you can put that kind of power to the ground.

Traction + 150 shot = Parts breaking! But have fun with it.
