shifting gears - smoke

I was racing my car two nights ago and my friend behind me said that when I was shifting gears a puff of black smoke came out of my exhaust. I was spraying a 75 shot my Im pretty sure no smoke comes out when i am N/A. Is this something I should be concerned with?
I thinking that I may just be running rich when on spray, but I not sure. If this is a problem I would like to find out before a problem occurs.
Any thoughts? Thanks

Your not the only one with concerns

That night was going awsome till my car started acting up...witch i now find out was becuase i was running on only 5 cylinders Dont ask

Personally i never saw the black smoke come out your car but if it did, i'll tell u its not happing every time. You probly got a little back fire on a late shift. I wouldn’t be too worried about it , until you start seeing white smoke come out.

Both my friend and mine have been doing that for the last year. We have no clue what it could be?
