Is bottle heater NEEDED for 50 shot?

I know it helps but is the heater needed to run a 50 shot safely on my 96 5speed?

Also is a no2 gauge needed or can I just mount and connect everything and expect it to perform the right way? Reason I'm asking is because I'm looking for a budget kit just to bolt on hp. No fancy switches, no gauges, nothing. Just a bottle in the trunk, solenoid under the hood and a jet into the intake pipe. Will it work?

You're from cold country. If you have nitrous w/o a heater and spray, you might as well roll your window down and through a few buck out. Nitrous is worthless in cold weather w/o a heater.

+1 to that the only way youll get the advertised shot is with a heater and a gauge

wothout a heater youll just run really rich and in the coldest weather you will be slower while on the spray than off

in this 30degree weather my bottle sits at about 600psi which is way to low

a heater is less than 100$ and a gauge is around 30$ just get them and do it right

and try to get a heater that is controlled by a pressure switch

It's not about being safe, it's about having enough bottle pressure for it to make a difference. Nitrous feels real good when you get the pressure up to about 1200 psi. 600 psi is nothing, 900 is ok, 1200 is .
