To J&S or not to J&S??

Ok...I'm seeing that stock applications can be run up to a 75shot on our Max's. Im installing an NX wet kit and starting of with a 35 shot. Working my way up as I learn to drive it and deal with traction issues.

Am I putting out unnecessary money in a J&S if I don't plan to go behind 100-125 shot in the future? Is retarding the timing 2 degrees per cylinder necessary or is that a "tune" that brings the system closer to the edge of limitations? At what shot would it be highly recommended to have this unit?

Thanks in advance everyone. Just trying to save myself some dough but I'm also a stickler about safety.

I gotta learn to Search first and ask second. Once again research has answered my question and I'm not gonna worry about the J&S till I get up to a 100 shot since I'm running a stock ECU with no advanced timing that has to be pulled.

You certainly don't "need" the J&S Eric, even at 100 shot levels, the VQ does just fine.

Hehehehe so THAT's who you are over here Ya I kind of figured this after reading in here from 1am to 3am last night *grin* I opted to get the NX DigiSet Delay Timer to deal with launch traction since I saved myself a heap of $
