need some help picking a kit

So i finaly decided to get a ZEX kit for christmas, well i check on custommaxima, and i saw the dry kit was 509, and the wet was something like 575, well i was wondering is there really a big of a difference between wet and dry? and how much more hp does the wet system make? thanks in advance.

Just go with wet it is easier to upgrade shots on those and tune it better than te dry. if I had to do it all over again I would have went wet

I'd go with wet if I didn't have the MEVI. Heard fuel may puddle on the MEVI valves. Anyway, my dry shot has always given me good results.

my first kit was a dry kit and i used up to a 70 shot and it worked pretty well. i converted to a wet kit by adding a fuel solenoid and now run up to a 100 shot. as far as power wise i dont think theres any difference except on the dry kit you rely on your injectors to deliver fuel which can become taxing after a 70 shot, so if you wanna go higher than that go wet.

The nopi kit in the first stickie says 35-50-75hp. Does this mean it comes with all 3 options?

Yes, those are the different jets that provide how much horsepower you want to adjust on your kit.

Cool, I'll probly just through in the 50 untill I get some other upgrades.

Fuel pump and plugs should be all I really need right?

Ya talking to me? If so, The shipping was fast (less than a week) Everything seems to be good quality exept for the cheap arming switch. My install is only half finished, basically all the pluming is done and I just need to do a little wiring. The bottle is filled and ready to go. If I have time and am not to busy at work I should be able to complete and give more feedback today or tomorrow.

And one question, Where should I put the Wide open throttle switch?

wow but that sounds quite expensive though. You didnt read the 1st sticky under this nitrous forum? NX kit for 440. but i guess with the blowdown tube, pressure relief valve and remote pressure gauge it all adds up, but nice kit. Have you installed it?

Did you get the kit?
Sometimes you get lucky if you wait and search.
I got a used nos (dry) kit for $170. Came with everything, even a purge valve and
an autometer guage.

Just got a bottle heater and blanket and so now I have a pretty decent street setup for a really cheap price.
BTW: a bottle heater is almost a must! Not really in the summer days though.

sucks I have to ***** 15 posts just to make 1 thread :P

Well it's finally done...3.5 and nitrous=instant hard on. Car really halls *** now. It's been basically completely installed for the last 2 weeks but I've been hesitant to cut into my fuel hose. I couldnt' wait any longer so I finished it up this morning and took it for a test drive. I only have the 35 shot in now untill I get some new plugs but even with a small shot it makes a huge difference. I can't wait to move to the 75 shot and really move. Every thing on the kit was good exept the ****ty little T they give you to tap into the fuel hose. I can't coplain though, everything works perfect. I'll get some pics of my install up after I clean it up a bit.

I used the one that came with the kit...I'm still not comfortable with it, and on the search for something better. I check it daily though, and not problems as of yet. I havn't been spraying to much because I have no Idea how much pressure is in the bottle. I know not enough fuel will make me lean out and have problems, but what is the worst that can happen with not enough nitrous and being to rich?

Worst thing I think you can get is a backfire and blow your airbox off.
A guage and bottle heater is pretty much a must.
It turnes out, without the heater I would never get past 700psi on a full tank.
Now it's at 950 and pulls much harder and lasts just as long.

Yea if you spray more fuel than nitrous you are running the risk of the fuel getting puddled up inside the intake manifold and when there is a spark right before the intake valve closes the puddled fuel sitting there will ignite blowing your intake manifold apart, or in some cases just blow your MAF, Filter and intake manfold gasket. you can buy a bottle pressure gauge very cheap at summit racing. its 16 bucks and it screws into the side port of the bottle. If you put the T fitting after the fuel filter i strongly suggest you look for something better ASAP, it is just to small and at anytime can come off and spray fuel everywhere probably causing your car to burn to the ground if the engine bay is hot enough..

For sure get a bottle heater and bottle blanket.
Get a pressure activated kit, it'll heat up faster.
