75 wet shot was running perfect.. but now I am gettong detonation+fuel puddeling? wtf
Since the install of the NX wet kit I sprayed from 2nd about 10-12 times and it went perfectly. Smooth strong acceleration. Yesterday I was poking around under the hood because I was smelling fuel. I noticed that the line going from the fuel solonoid to the shark nozzle had a slow fuel leak where it screwed into the shark nozzle (where the jets go). So I tightened it about 1/4 a turn and it stopped the slow drip. So I went out to test it by spraying for a second or 2 just to make sure it wasn't leaking anymore. When I went to spray it sounded like popping popcorn under my hood so I let off right away. I tried it again and the same thing happened. So I went home and checked the nozzle and everything.. seemed fine. The fuel leak stopped but whats the deal with the detonation? I took off the air filter and there was fuel all puddled up in the piping. I took out 2 spark plugs (just put in new copper 1 step colder 3 days ago) they looked ok besides the tips were a little bluish/purple/yellow rainbow but other then that they were ok. I also tested the nozzles. I took the shark nozzle off of the intake and closed the bottle to see if the fuel was spraying in a mist or if it was just dripping out or something.. seemd to be misting right. Came out strong and kinda misty. Shot out about 2-3 feet from the nozzle. Not sure exactly why its detonating I'm out of ideas. Anyone have any advice?

check two things make sure the nozzle hole is facing the throttlebody, if its the other way the force from the air coming in will prevent it from spraying correctly. also check your fuel solenoid it sounds like its not shutting off after activation. test the fuel solenoid and see if it shuts off after you activate it, if it continues to spray try reversing the wires. if that doesnt do it you may have some sealant stuck in the solenoid then you have to open and clean out the gum if thats the case. im leaning more toward the solenoid not shutting off and reversing wires.

Thanks for the suggestions. I made sure the nozzle was spraying into the throttlebody and also I tested the fuel solenoid. It only sprayed fuel when I hit the switch and as soon as I let off the switch it stopped.
I bought a new set of spark plugs and I am going to replace them all in a few minutes after I grab something to eat. I am guessing/hoping that one of the plugs I pull out is fouled to hell because so far that is the only thing I can think of that it could be.
Last night I took the shark nozzle off and cleaned it out really good with compressed air. I also cleaned the jets and put it back together nice and tight. Did a quick test run and as soon as I hit the nitrous at 3500 rpm in 2nd I heard tons of rapid popping noises coming from the engine bay and the acceleration was very choppy and weak. Can't wait to see what these plugs look like.

This might be something to look at, when we were installing my friends nx kit, the fuel line was leaking and we didnt kno why because we didnt even activate the solonoid, we then realized that the nut that is on the solonoid was loose, once we tightend it, it didnt leak anymore. another thing, a while ago i wasnt spraying too often but i wanted to check if everything was good. i took out the nozzle and activated, only nitrous came out and fuel would just leak out not spraying. ended up having a very small grain of sand cloggin it up. so look at ur jets

Ok. All 6 spark plugs that I took out where in good shape.. I replaced them anyway. I know you guys are trying to help and I know I am pretty much writing a book here but, I have checked and cleaned and sprayed with compressed air all of the jets and nozzle. I even tested the fuel solenoid and fuel jets by holding the nozzel in my hand while I activated the nitrous switch (with the bottle fully closed) and sprayed just the fuel and it came out pretty misted up and went pretty far. The 12 times I sprayed and it worked perfectly was awesome.. but I am starting to regret doing it in the first place.

Found the problem! WHEW!
Well I found the problem! It was totaly un-nitrous related. I noticed that my car was idling a little funny. And sometimes under hard acceleration it was a little choppy. I replaced 2 of the 3 back-bank Coils (the plunger things that plug into the spark plugs) and the problem is gone. I can now spray and no more detonation and the car is perfect.
Sure did give me a scare.
