Now that I am running an NX kit I was thinking of doing some gauges in a 3 gauge pod. Im wondering what three would be best, n2o pressure, oil temp?, oil press?, water temp?....any thoughts as to which ones to get?

 

Since this is the nitrous forum I guess a nitrous gauge would be o.k.
The rest is up to you since none of those are related to nitrous :P

Actually its better to have nitrous, fuel and egt. I have the egt and fuel pressure gauges forsale. Pictures can be found on my homepage.

 

as u see from the previous post. nitrous is a must, u need to kno ur pressure, also depending on the shot ur running its the gauges u need. like u wont need wideband or egt if ur running a small shot. but if you go on higher shots then its more important to know egt and wideband a/f. Personally i wouldnt put the nitrous gauge on a pod on the driver pillar, incase i get pulled over and the cop see's u have nitrous.

 

I say a nitrous gauge only and do yourself a favor and dont put it on the pillar (pods) you will be asking for trouble if you ever get pulled over and imo pods look sort of but hey its your car.

+1. A real air fuel ratio gauge though, not the crap Autometer rainbow light show. That means spending $300+ on one. If not that, then get an EGT gauge. Run all the gauges power on a seperate switch, that way if you do get pulled over or the police start eyeing you, you can shut the gauges off, especially good at night.

Why oil pressure? Your not running a S/C or T/C, oil pressure is not really required.

 

Well since the pods are mostly for
show then why not fill up some space with a cheap oil pressure gauge instead of an expensive a/f gauge? :P

Personaly, I would go with a clock.

 

The more gauges the faster your car is.

 

all are not necessary, i do have a nitrous gauge on my bottle, but i do also have a in cabin one, with a volt meter, and AFR, AFR is worthless but i wanted something to fill that spot that was cheap, i will get an EGT soon and leave the volt meter.

I did forget to mention that i have a FP gauge for my FPR but it in my engine bay, i set it where it needed to be and left it in there.

 

If you do a fuel pressure guage, make sure it is elctri with no fuel line coming into interior. You will not pass tech at any track with a fuel pressure guage inside the car.

 

Yes I would not want a FP gauge running a line of fuel inside my car, I hope the one I ordered is electrical, I got both nitrous and fuel pressure guages from NX P#15512 and #15509, I already had the tripple guage pod laying around so decided to use it, but im still debating on the 3rd guage, the EGT gauge is expensive like $189+ so I dont know...
