Can a direct port do this?

So i was looking into getting nitrous and i have talked to some guys most say to go with a wet shot but i have been told that with direct port w/ a 75-100 shot and the right amount of exhaust outtake, cold air, and drag radials i could push my 5.5 into the 12's is this bs or holds sum truth?

help me out, please!!!!

I wouldnt look at it that way. because if you set yourself out to run a 12 you are going to be disappointed when you dont. its all about testing and tuning

Check Timeslips

Check out the Timeslips thread - that should give you a clue about what's possible.

You could ask the members on that list about what they use...... Not too many in the 12s...

12s aren't easy with any combination.

The only guy I can remember that really pushed nitrous into the 12s is Jime. Track down his web site and see what he did and how he did it. He is an early pioneer of creating Maxima beasts - and a Canadian, as well. Note he is in the top 20 in the Timeslips forum.

Since it's well known that Canadian air is 20% nitrous already, I always thought they have an unfair advantage, but Jime really made it work.

A second off your current quarter mile is not out of the question.
The traction you will need is the question.

We have a 2005 Altima SE auto on the Nissanclub boards running a 100 shot at a 13.3. But he's pulling 2.1-2.2 60's. With D/Rs or slicks, he'd EASILY hit 12s. So 12s with a 100 shot on a 5.5 gen isn't impossible.

"he'd EASILY hit 12s" Easily, eh?

I'd like to see him run on DRs or slicks too, but there are no guarantees, are there? Wish him luck.
