FS: 02 Vette Z06

For sale I have my 02 Z06 with only 11K on it. 6spd 405HP. It has a rebuilt title. It had panel damage in the front, nothing major, no frame, mechanical or suspension damage what so ever, the airbags were NOT deployed. The car is black in color with grey wheels and black with mod red interior. It's immaculate and runs and drives excellent and still smells new inside. I have B&B PRT exhaust on it but can switch back to the stock Ti exhaust if someone wishes so. Rated at 19city/28hwy MPG. The price is $24,000, well below book value. Buyer will be provided with the original insurance appraisal for the car and before pictures.

Thanks,
Konrad L.

Thanks. Yeah, LS1tech is an awesome website, it's going there next and the corvetteforum.com.

Panels plus misc. It adds up when the hood alone is $1400 and one headlight assembly $1500. Corvette tax... sucks.

Thanks bro!

Niceee looking z06. Sucks that its salvaged though.. Makes getting a loan for it a real PITA. Would have to get a personal loan for $24k which would = at least 11-13% apr which is pretty high. Thats even if you can get a bank to give you a personal loan for that much! If you have the means/knowlege and of course the time, you might get more for it by totally parting it out over at corvetteforum / ls1tech etc.

It might be a little more difficult in certain states and banks, but it's not as difficult as you're making it sound. I've had over 10 salvage cars, of which 3 were recent Vettes, of which 2 were Z06s and people bought them without any issues. Frame damage or flood, isn't my cup of tea. I wouldn't every get anything like that. You can definitely get a car loan for this. Parting it out isn't even an option. I'm an active member over at corvetteforum (as I assume you are) and you can check out my first project there. Most people won't buy salvage because they're afraid, and I don't blame them, but it's just because they're afraid of the stereotype. It's people that know cars are people that buy them.

You are very right. There are a lot of salvaged vehicles out there that are perfectly fine. That vette you have looks pretty damn good from the pics.

Problem with the banks though is that in the conditions for a car loan is that you MUST have full coverage on the vehicle throughout the term of the loan. Problem with a salvage title is, insurance companies will not allow you to have full coverage on the vehicle because it was already.. totaled at one point. At least thats the way I understand it where I'm from.

As far as insuring a car that is being financed with any auto loan, yes, you're right it does need to have full coverage, I wouldn't have it any other way on a car like that anyways.
Insuring salvages, speaking from experience living in CT, is not a problem. You do it like any other car. So I think this varies with the state you live in.

Since it's a rebuilt vette, I priced it accrodingly at $24,000. If it was a clean title, the KBB is $31,800. Believe me it's priced for a quick sale, but I haven't posted it anywhere else yet since I'm waiting for the title. Once I get it, a couple of days and it'll be gone.
There is plently of 05 Maxs around for $14-15K with descent mileage without leather, I just haven't found a Smoke or Silver with black leather, in which case I'd be willing to drop couple of hundred more on. Not trying to sound offensive to you $20K offer...

If you have the funds, you should definitely try to get a Z06. They're pure race car. Just like the 4th gens, these things can take a beating all day long and more, but don't mistaken them for the regular C5. Regular C5 are great but Z06s are just another animal. Good luck.
