The plaid seats are a GTI thing
They look better in person lol.
Stock the car is lots of fun, but with an ecu flash, all of a sudden it's a different beast as the engine comes de-tuned in the us market, however I am leaving mine completely stock as I want to sell it, and it's easier to sell stock cars.

automobile magazine flashed their gti and ran it against an AWD R32, and the gti got to 130mph 7.9 seconds faster, on stock wheels and tires. 313 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels, from just a flash!
No reasonable offer will be refused! I need to sell this car due to some special circumstances.. bump.
edit - the correct number is 303 ft-lbs of torque at the crank. This means 271 at the wheels.

WHAT?!?!? I have to see this magazine article. You are telling me their stock GTI went from 207 ft-lbs of torque at the crank to 313 ft-lbs to the wheels just from a reflash? Doesn't seem right. Don't mean to get off-topic here but that isn't believable.
My bad, the 93 octane program was 303 ft-lbs at the crank, which is still pretty freakin impressive. 100 octane programs will give you more of course
Oh ok.....also, from that graph considering they got 208 ft-lbs stock, I would guess it measuring crank torque in both case. So 271 ft-lbs at the crank makes alot more sense now.
Anywhoo, bump it up and good luck selling it!

Actually it's 271 at the wheels, 303 at the crank

Very nice. I thought about leasing one, but nobody had any with the Autobahn package. The leather seats look sooo much better than the plaid.
I think I'd like the DSG too.
GL with the sale.

I do not have a re-flashed ECU, I left the car 100% stock on purpose, so the future buyer can do with it whatever they like.. keep it stock, flash the ecu, heck upgrade to a bigger turbo! If you want to buy it with a flashed ECU, I can take care of that for you of course...
Well, I already have another car, and I can't keep both cars.. plus I just had a baby daughter, who turned out to have some milk protein and soy protein allergies, and the specialized broken down formula is expensive.. so I really don't need this extra car tying up money right now. That's why I'm pretty much accepting any reasonable offer.
