For Sale (MA): 1998.5 Ford SVT Contour and 1996 Chrysler Cirrus LXI
For Sale (MA): 1998.5 Ford SVT Contour and 1996 Chrysler Cirrus LXI
Cirrus - * SOLD *
The SVT Contour has 73.5k miles and is in good condition. It would require ding removal and some paint to be in tip top shape, however are perfectly fine as it is.
T-Red was only produced in 1998 and 1999 model runs, ups the ante on the rarity factor...
Midnight blue leather interior.
Single CD-Player FM radio.
Power Moon Roof.
16" E1 "Cobra Style" Alloy Rims
This car has all of the options available at their time of purchase. Our family hasn't driven it much at all since my father has passed away.
Need to sell one or both of these soon for financial reasons.
It has a 2.5L V6, SVT is a 5speed manual (AKA Standard).
Please feel free to call me (781)964-9130.

Notes: Just put it back on the road this morning (9/22). It did not pass inspection, it needs to have the front tie rods replaced, and since I just put a new battery in it, it also needs to be driven 2-400miles before there is enough data on the ECU for the inspection station to read it. Got a few quotes on replacing the tie rods in the $600-800 range. Inner and outer tie rods have been replaced and has 2 new O2 sensors. Running better than ever!
Will be driving it for the time being, however will entertain trades-ups for a 2002-2003 Maxima 3.5L 6spd with helical LSD. Let me know what you have.
Cheers,
Brian

Made a photoalbum of the SVT and have a couple videos of it running.

Normally I don't hijack threads, but this is obviously an exception...
You want to trade a 1998 2.5L V6 Ford Contour SVT for a 3.5L 2002/2003 6-speed HLSD Maxima? Did I infer that correctly? If so...

But yes, The Contour SVT is becoming a rare collectible (only about 15k manufactured) and as such is maintaining good value for the performance sedan that it is.
Cheers,
Brian
