Description:
THIS THING HAS TO GO ASAP
Up for sale is my 1991 Mazda rx7 with a vq30de-k. Yes its the motor from the maxima, 222hp stock. tranny is a 6speed from a 2004 350z. the motor has less than 40k miles on it, the body has around 130k (not exactly sure). the swap has been in the car for 25k miles now.
good:
- its a 2+2! rear seats!
-new tires all around this spring
-alignment this spring
-comes with extra set of wheels and tires (pair)
-comes with an extra set of rotors (pair)
-new brake pads last year
-PA Inspection/Emission until 05/09
-runs great!
-shifts great!
-i got around 25mpg cruising around and getting on it wherever i could
-car weighed in at just over 2700lbs with a full tank of gas
-power options: sunroof, power mirrors, power windows, power locks, cruise control
-heater works great
-quiet exhaust, loud intake.
NO power steering
NO AC
Bad:
-dent in front right fender where deer ran into the car.
-dent on the edge of the passenger door, not sure what its from lol
-car was pink when i bought it, but i buffed it for hours and took those pics. the front bumper/mirrors/spoiler did not buff out as nice and still look slightly pinkish. the right headlight is also a different shade of red. so paint isnt perfect but still looks decent
-starter skips every once in awhile. sounds like it slips or something but only for a split second then it catches and starts
-fuel pressure regulator needs replaced. the car has been like this since the swap. the fuel pump is hotwired so to start the car you just turn the key on for a few seconds to let it built up fuel pressure and it starts right up. so i guess it doesnt really need replaced, but its worth mentioning.
-back seats are kinda cramped
i cant think of anything else right now lol so here is the technical jabber:

I'll throw in the rims and take out the nitrous kit, and call it a flat out trade, or vice versa and you can keep the nitrous kit & I'll keep the rims.
I have done 90% of the stuff listed in different colors that wasn't done yet.

im interested in the trade, but im a little confused. is the colored stuff stuff that will get done before the trade?
I def. dont want the nitrous. what if you keep the rims and the nitrous, how much cash could you throw in?
and i have no clue what video you are talking about.

I've done all of the stuff in green I think, that was old, except for the cat-back exhaust, I never picked that up so it has a ****ty catback on it (rubs against body and is very annoying)
I'll give you $750 w/out nitrous, that's a good deal since I probably wouldn't be willing to buy all of my nitrous stuff for that much, plus I have to un-install it.
thanks
KRZZ350: yeah i buffed the paint for a long time to get it looking like this lol. but i am interested in your trade. there are a few other guys shooting me offers right now though. im wondering what you had in mind for trading the vehicles... i live in PA and you in MA. JW

that would probably work. the title is in my parents name (insurance reasons) and they would not want to make the trip but im pretty sure they could sign it off before i leave.
this is all theoretically speaking as if the transaction is going through. im not saying yes or no yet.
I'm pretty sure you are mechanically minded so this is a good car for you...its the reason im selling it actually... when something breaks on my car i get on a forum and they tell me how to fix it haha. well there are no nissan rx7 forums lol so it takes me a long time to figure out whats wrong.
anyhow i really need a reliable car that i dont have to worry about at all. my supra is my project car and i just need a DD now.
how much nos was ran through that motor anyhow? haha
and can you give me an updated parts/mods list?
and with the $750 what wheels is that including?

2 bottles of a 75 shot without a bottle warmer in cold weather, so probably more like a 45 or 50 shot, I put in different plugs and checked them after the 1st bottle so I know that nothing was harmed whatsoever except maybe the clutch saw some extra abuse but it was replaced when I did the motor so it should still have lots and lots of life left on it.
The wheels (actually on it now) are steelies with hubcaps and they have brand new no-name allseasons on them. The only things I will be doing this week are rebuilding the master and slave cylinders with oem nissan rebuild kits and switching the entire system to dot 5, the clutch fluid starts to get to hot on long long roadtrips and I loose the clutch pedal, but I have all of the parts and will be doing it this week, I also upgraded the lower line to a stainless one. I will do the sway-bar endlink on the passanger side as well, it just squeeks and is very annoying. I took care of the control arm bushings with 3m windowweld and was planning on doing the same to the mounts. The only issues it will have is the coolant gauge has the flutter on hard acceleration problem, and the catback sucks, but I might try to take care of that on the lift this week as well.
It's definitly very reliable and will continue to be, I've used it to go to meets in Maryland and NYC, and it gets 25+mpg around town and doesn't burn a drop of oil, I just did a change the other day.
So quick rundown: HID reverse lights wired into the fog-light switch
added the variable wiper's
brembo x-drilled/slotted all the way around w/nissan pads in the front, cheapies in the rear
tein basic coilovers
radiator core was fixed
infinity reference 6 x 9's that get a little crackly up top
added an antenna finally
lot's of recent tune-up and maintenance stuff at the time of that motor, I'll swap in different plugs if/when I pull the nitrous out
i have to run but I'll check this later and try to think of the stuff I may have forgotten.

this is sounding like a good deal to me so far but ive only had the car up for two days now, i wanna see what else shows up. i know what you are offering me is worth what i am askign for the rx, but honestly i was looking for a little more cash so im gonna see what else comes around. so far, this is the best offer ive had yet though. and i would really like to see this car go to a place like you have where someone has the knowledge and ability to take care of it.
This thing boosted would be insane. that was my plan but i have no time anymore for projects

Also, if anybody reading this wants to buy my white car for $3,750 it's back up for sale until this car is gone.
haha, that's so funny that you mention that, I have a 3.5l with under 3k miles that I would put in there so quick, it would be like a whicked light 350Z with nitrous within a month
