In short this piece allows you to watch whatever is on your Samsung S3 smart phone or Samsung Galaxy Tab II tablet on your HDTV. You can use it to watch videos, movies or even to pay video games. This piece is directly designed to work with the unique 11-pin arrangement of the S3 micro USB without an adapter. The unit does work and is in impeccable condition as I only used it once on a friend Galaxy tab to see if it works after finding out this part will not work with my Galaxy S Relay 4G or any Samsung product except the S3 or the Tab2.
