92 maxima NO Blinkers

I have in my posession, a 92 Maxima. The interior (carpet/seats mostly) was very dirty. I pulled the front seats out, most of the center console(ie stereo/climate control/) and the console where the emergency break was, and the carpet. pic = http://home.swbell.net/lnx/05.JPG

Everthing went fine, until I noticed I had no turn signals, or emergency flashers. After some thought, I figured out that the emergency flasher button, had gotten wet, as it sits on a plastic frame, near the radio. Did this wet switch short circuit something? or, if it is just the blinker relay box, where is that? All my fuses are good, and I dont have an owners manual. Can anyonehelp?

Im pretty sure I plugged it back in

But i could be wrong, would that also affect the blinkers? not just the emergency flashers? I hate to tear it all apart again, especially just to find out that its plugged in.

if i recall correctly, your blinkers won't function if the switch is unplugged or not working...

all you have to do is remove the trim around the radio and climate control area to check; that should take less than 5 minutes

and like lophix and Chris said, your blinkers will not work when the hazard switch is not plugged in
