That's pretty much the definitive write-up for that mod.

Why wouldnt it be street legal? Chrysler vehicles can drive with the fogs on, without the headlights on... All from the factory

m sorry I incorrectly made my statement.....

1) Its illegal to drive around at night with just the runners on WITH THE FOGS

2) its illegal to have the high beams operate the fogs NOT cut off

I COULD HAVE edited my post but i figured id just clarify it, lol... (see what multitasking got me)

Thanks for all the replies. It would have only taken me about 15 minutes, but had to go in and make hot chocolate cuz we are not used to 40 degree weather in South Alabama. Plus that cover was a real bi***!

I was not aware that this mod would prevent the foglights from turning off when the high beams are on. Oh well!

I had no interest in this mod on my 2002 previously, but now that I will be going with 3000k HID fog lamps, I plan to do it.

This mod won't affect that. That feature/function is built into the headlight switch assembly.

Edit: Beat to it.

lol, nah what i was saying was that when you flick on the high beams the fogs will shut off.....and with HID's in your fogs, thats not good for the life expectency of HID bulbs

other than that its a damn good mod

I got a buddy to help pry up the tabs near the fender while I pulled up on the case. It takes some wiggling because it wants to stick in there with all the dirt and grime that has built up. Give it another shot!

so are you just using a splice to connect the fog wire to the taillight wire? if so.. Can you just use one of those little connectors?

Getting the tabs next to the fender was the part that took the longest.I used one of those tiny screwdrivers that are used on glasses.
