7th gen springs on a 6th gen?

Hey guys,

maybe its a dumb question but i really like the stance of the 7th gen so i just wanted to know if the springs would fit my 05. I dont like asking questions that have already been answered but i searched all over and couldnt find an answer. Thanks for any help.

You can get that "stance" with the right 6th gen springs.

I Would love to know which springs would even out the gap in the front wheel well without dropping the ride height. I know it just looks that way bu im my opinion it looks bad. All i can find on the orgs is tein or progress which are nice and all but im not reAlly into the droppped look. I know you get better handeling with lower suspension but in my oppinion my 6th gen would look perfect if it had the same ride height as a 7th gen. Not too low and even. Thanks again for any replies.

i say drop the max by an inch and compensate the ground clearance with bigger rims if you don't wanna get lower.

i agree that gap looks horrendous.. just terrible, but i don't wanna drop my max because i don't wanna ruin my bumper in parking lots, go sideways over speed bumps, and slam on my brakes over dips, that hassle is just stupid impractical and down right embarrassing making your max look cheap and tacky when you are driving important passengers around..

Lets say the springs are interchangeable, they may or may not be, I could find out but it would be pointless... Why?

Because the weight of the vehicles ARE NOT the same so the car is NOT going to sit the same even though it's the same springs.

Coolmax05 raised the rear by about an inch and he dropped the front an inch or so and it looked great.

The spring spacers sound like a good idea but im worried id have to sacrifice too much handeling. I want something that is going to be permanent i dont really have the time or the funds to try something which will reduce the comfort of the ride or that i will have to remove once it starts malfunctioning. I have read all the threads on different spring setups. I would idealy like to find a set that will give the car the same look as the 7th gen. The 09 is not too high off the ground; its probably the same distance from the ground as the 6th gen but i has a good even amount of wheel gap front and back. Im not into the super low nascar look. Not knocking other people, i can appreciate a nicely dropped max.

ok so i'm gonna try the coolmax05 mod soon. already got the mr. gasket 1" inch spacers. gonna have them installed on the back along with some new stock springs and shocks. hopefully this will give me the results i'm looking for without having to sacrifice much ride quality or handling. if it doesnt work i guess i'll be going with progress springs paired with stock shocks/struts and probly 20" rims with the thickest tires possible to compensate for ride height and roughness. thanks to all who have contributed advice.
