Problem when replacing my camshaft position sensor, need help!

Hello, on Saturday morning my car started acting as if it had almost no power, it turned out to be the camshaft position sensor. I decided to replace it myself and in the process I broke the locking mechanism of the wiring clip, the harness would not stay locked into the sensor, all I could do to get the car to run was zip tie the harness into the sensor and mount it into place. I called Nissan to possibly buy the locking part of the wiring harness since it looked like a separate or removable part, unfortunately Nissan said the only way to fix the problem was to buy a new engine wiring harness for over $500 and have it installed. Then they told me the mechanics at the dealership could repair the clip using a "kit" they had for a price of $100.00. Any other possible fixes or info on the situation would be appreciated, thanks

Clip a new one,

Clip the old and solder and shrink wrap.
