What do you think of these LED tails for our Maximas ?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-2003-NI...3b2fec&vxp=mtr

I haven't seen any information about these anywhere on the org.
I don't know if anyone here have ever used these before but if so
please give me your opinion on these tails. I like the look of them
they look OEM and Unmodified until you stare at the brake light section.

The LEDS are almost hidden from view and looks stock which is great. I just want to know what the output and fitment is like...

If someone has any experience with these please post here, Thanks alot.

If they were the '00-01 SE style (black around lights) then I'd like them...not a fan of the red surrounds.

Price is in line with OEM tails. Also, maybe just me or my computer but the LEDs don't look very bright in the pic. If you get them, post actual pics.

They're decent at best. I've seen them on a burgundy 5.5 before.

They do look better than the other led tails on eBay...the 'ruby' ones.

The ones that protrude? Those things are hideous.

Can't speak about quality, but they don't look that bad.

I'd tint the lower half of the circle red though.

Yea, turn signals. I have mine tinted using red translucent tint, looks awesome (to me)

Very similar to BlueBatmobile's overlays, but no point paying his prices when you can buy the film for a couple bucks.

i'm not a big fan of those led tail lights, but then again i'm not a big fan of any of the led tail lights that are offered for the 00-03 maximas. i did see on this forum that some dude made a custom set of led tails for his maxima and it turned out pretty good, can't remember what the link for it is though

I don't like that the led's don't go all the way to complete the half-circle. it's a square (rectangle) block of led's inside a semi-circle... come-on, they could've a put in a few more led's. of course, that's MY humble 2 cents...

Good luck with these. I don't think the LED Output is too great when you're against the sun but I personally haven't seen these in real life. Hope they look good.

I may be making LED tails for the 5th/5.5 gens if I can open tails without having to cut them open.

Let me know how it goes, I opened 2 sets already I didn't cut but more like pry it which sometimes could crack/splits easily which was money down the drain ( really I got it free from junk yard they already cracked)

If I can't get them open without cutting or cracking, I probably won't bother making LED boards. 4th genners are good to go though lol

they are slighty dimmer than the stock bulb but they're not bad, it doesn't show up well in the picture because it's day time shots, i'll take more pics then it's getting closer to dusk and night time pics as well

Agreed. There's days where I am driving behind cars with aftermarket LED tails and it's hard to see when they brake.

Here is the night shot, this is just the regular light and not the brake light.. brake lights are even brighter!

Brakes off

Brakes on.. sorry about the glare

They are nice looking at night, i'm pretty happy with them for the time being. Next up, painting them SE black.. with red overlay for the turn signals! At first I had doubts about these tail lights but now i must say that these are not bad for a hundred dollar pair of tail lights.

That is one sexy rear end. Well done.

Now remove the rear deck 3rd brake light, that looks silly

weren't there threads about how the led tails disable your cruise control because of the different voltage?

Yes, LED bulbs in stock housings without resistors installed. The LED tails probably use resistors/diodes to control brightness so it's all good.
