Valve Adjustment Tools

I have been reading up on my FSM and am interested in adjusting my valve clearance but it says I need some tools. Tools A and B
Tool (A) KV10115110 (J38972-1)
Tool (B) KV10115120 (J38972-2)
Anyone know where to get these tools? Will Nissan sell them? Thanks

Why do you want to go to all the trouble of measuring and reshimming your valves?

because they are very very clattery(if thats a word). I just have a lot of top end noise and it sounds like its coming from the valves. And i figured that tool a was the pliers and b the stoppers but my question is from where do I get these items and the shim kit? I called my dealer and they said that the tools werent available for sale.

I bought the car about a month ago and I changed the oil then. I put 10w40 in it. I dont think its the chain I have one of those stethoscope dealies (technical term) and it sounded like it was coming from under the valve covers

You might want to listen to us. We have owned these cars for years.

Valve adjustments are very seldom discussed.

While timing chain tensioners are discussed. To solve that kind of noise.

I had that noise. Add a pint of quart of Marvel Mystery Oil. It has solved this problem for my self and others as well.

I just installed VCG's now need knock sensor.
Well now I'm removing the covers again to perform a valve adjustment.
I got 155xxx on the clock.

Can I get a generic camshaft pliers from Napa or something?

Why not I have everything romived Air intake collector, air cleaner throttle body ect. I'm down to the VC's.

Valve adjustment too?

I'm thinking it may improve the idle performance too. Isn't this why they use valve cover gaskets instead of RTV?

The first order is to check the valve clearance . I didn't just sealed it up. I was scared because I've never done it and didn't want to screw it up.
I just don't want to have to take the air collector off again until I install the rebuilt engine.

Already sealed the VC's anyway. I'll try both products thanks for the advise

Has anyone checked how far out of spec do they get?
