This is the result of someone running a red light this morning while I was on my way to an interview with an acting agency. They ran the red light, and I couldn't see anything because I was at the far end of the lane. They hit me; as I was gearing up to get out of the car, they threw their reverse lights on, and bolted away from the scene. Didn't get a license plate, because I thought they were moving to get information.

This accident threw my whole day off. Not only am I looking at at least 10 days without my car, because of the accident, I wasn't able to completely focus on my read, and I bombed the interview with a top ten agency. This f-in sucks, and I'm not happy. On the bright side, I guess I can start my project by fixing my damn car.

That's painful to see, glad you're OK. I would still file a police report if you remember at least the other car's color and the fact it's been damaged, won't be too hard to spot for the police (ha ha) but you just might get some good news!

Koto's currently in the shop, while I get a Nissan Versa for the next week. It's...aight, I guess. But it has no power, and drives like my old Mazda Protege lol.




I'm playing with the slow boys for the next week.

While this is going on, the shop I went with: Anthony's Paint and Body Shop on Pico Blvd in LA estimated the damage out to be about $3,900, and let me know they should be done before Monday, September 26th as the parts for our car are easy to get from the dealers around the area.

I'm looking into jackstands, car jacks & brake essentials. This has fueled my desire to start upgrading Koto once she gets back into my hands.

 

Glad you are ok.......You can fix the car, but life is short. Did you get a police report? They probably didn't have insurance like 40% of drivers on the road today. I got hit 30 days after I got my car and they couldn't speak English, had no DL or Insurance.....Luckily I had uninsured motorist on my policy.

 

I did get a police report. Gave them as much info as I could, so hopefully they can catch them. I'll have to look into uninsured policy too. I just put a lot of work into buying my car tho, so I was a little upset. I'm excited to get it back

 

Someone back in July rear-ended me and the ******* tried to pull away, Cole (my car) was doing a solid 120 mph in the rain turning down side roads, it was like a slip and slide, at least we know he has all 290 of his horses behind him.... PS, I got the license plate # of the ****head who TRIED to get one on me.
