That covers the rear seat center armrest hinge. Never took one off, so I've never installed one.

I've removed one to clean under it on the 99 I30 a few years ago. I had the rear seat back out of the car at the time..

Referencing Dennis post, it snaps on part of the seat back by the armrest.

Looks like a pair of black pumps and a green bungee cord to me.

How to reinstall? That's a little too personal. LOL

Good luck getting it back in like nothing never happened!

Hopefully, you find a way without pulling the seat bottom and top!

Please let us know how it goes!

The pumps or the fabric trim piece? LOL

Below are pictures of where it goes. One end kind of flops into place and the other end is sandwiched into the plastic that divides the trunk and arm rest. Getting that plastic barrier out to reinstall the fabric end will most likely entail pulling the rear back seat bottom and then top to get it out to be dealt with.

Also.....

I remember when working behind the seat, I thought the bottom seat didn't really need to be removed to get the top/back out. It's 4 bolts. You can see two center bolts in the third picture above. The other two are at the lower outside corners (one each), 1.5 inches below the top bottom seat. Push it down to see. All 4 bolts are 10mm. You'll have to wrestle with the two outside bolts a bit to make this work, but nothing too difficult.

Hope this helps!
