Hi... I'm new to the forum so I hope I'm placing this in the right spot. A few weeks ago I just bought a brand new 2017 Nissan Maxima Platinum I love the car but have had nothing but issues since I bought it. Prior to this Nissan I had a 2011 Kia Optima that I had bought brand new and never once had a problem with it so I'm somewhat regretting trading it in. First my remote start only worked 90% of the time I took it into the dealer and they reprogrammed it and it's been doing good sense. Well while it was in the shop one of the workers curb rashed my rim not the car's fault but still had to take it back to the dealer to get it fixed. Now with just over a thousand miles on the odometer I'm having a squeaky driver seat issue. It's on the mid back right side of the seat.. when you push on it you can hear it squeak pretty bad getting in and out you hear it. Also when I go from a stop and hit the gas when my back pushes on it you hear it. Has anyone else had this issue? I really don't want to take it back to the dealer I've been there so much in the last few weeks.

My goodness, you certainly have had more serious problems with your car than anyone else on this forum.

For the seat issue...if you want to pay for the repair yourself....since you "really don't want to take it back to the dealer I've been there so much in the last few weeks..." find a local upholstery shop and take it there. They can fix your problem.

 

Go see your dealer, they'll fix it.

 

With all due respect, you mentioned 2 actual issues which don't sound too terribly bad to be honest with you. At least not enough to regret trading in an optima, which to be frank is a frickin boring car.

Best of luck on the fix, but if a few noises and rattles are big issues for you, you might be in for an unhappy journey with your Maxima

I had the squeaky drivers seat for about 2 minutes yesterday which was the first time (18K on the vehicle). Those who have had the squeaky seat, does it start sporadically and progress to constant squeak, or was it constant from day 1.
