About 6k or so after they cut my rotors, they are warped again. I'm waiting for them to get worse since they couldn't even find the warping when I took them in originally.

3200 miles on mine, lots fo hard stops from 100-20 no warpage yet, but I did replace my pads with better ones and the fluid as well. Also remounted and torqued my wheels.

First time around, my dealer installed new rotors all together. You gotta be firm with theses clowns and tell them how you want it to be handled. You are the customer.

This probably happens if you drive and use the breaks a lot and then go into a puddle of water, it will warp them.

lesson..

do not ever let anyone torque your nuts without a torque wrench. ever... I had a tire patched... I told them to hand tighten and I brought my torque wrench. They gave me crap, but I asked them if they were up to buying new rotors and they agreed.

So what are the lugs supposed to be torqued to and what size socket do they take?

P.S. Kev... don't torque my nuts!

80 lbs... I believe they are either 19 or 21 mm sockets.

P.S. I won't torque your nuts if you won't torque mine.

I had a (then) new '85 Stanza. Front rotors were replaced twice after they were each turned once. All of this was covered under warranty. First time I had to pay for them myself, I went to the local NAPA dealer and bought a sent of non-OEM rotors and pads. Never had another problem. Seems Nissan can't get this one right.

Never Cut Rotors, Never. They warp even faster if you cut them. We always replace them when they get warped, usually with stock rotors. They usually get warped when people drive their cars, and wash them right after.
