Strut bar and Intake installed

Sorry for the bad pic but it’s the only one I have for now. I think the powder coat came out nice.

You should have left the duck that brings fresh air to the filter, now you're pulling warm air from the engine bay.

I know, but I wasn’t that happy with how it looked. I may put it back on. Not so sure of how much of a difference it really makes anyways.

the change is significant, back in my drag racing days, lots of cars drew air from the back of the engine, when we put on real cold air intakes, man you could tell a difference.

Do you have to physically alter the car to install the strut bar? And does it make a huge difference? Just curious.

I didn’t have to modify anything. As far as difference I’m sure it doesn’t hurt, but our car has a factory one. I did it more for the look than anything.

Is the strut bar not standard? Ours is a 2016 Platinum, and it had a factory tower bar. Not as pretty as this one, but it's likely adequate enough to not need upgrading. I'm confused.

Is there not already a factory strut brace just behind the bar you installed?

For everyone asking, yes there is a factory strut bar and yes I still installed this one on top of it. Like I said, I like the look of the aftermarket strut brace.

How much power did you lose with that hot air intake?

Was it worth it for the trade off in sound?

I guess your one of those ppl that truly believes your maxima is a sports car lol I could care less about performance on this car. The mods I do on this car are to please my eyes and soul. If I wanna go fast I’ll jump on my motorcycle or my 70 chevelle.

No this is my daily driver, I actually want to know how much it hurt throttle response on a hot day and how much power you feel you lost from the intake especially sitting in traffic.

I had a 370Z with an SRI intake, it sounded awesome but the heat soak was retarded on a hot summer day.. felt like I lost about 15whp.

I got the stillen cold air intake,

https://www.stillen.com/catalog/prod...category/1149/

it looks a bit different from the intake you have. I wonder what the difference is between the stillen intake and yours. I really like the white air filter. Also, as for the strut bar, I always wondered if I should get one.

https://www.stillen.com/catalog/prod...category/1250/

so strut bars are only for tight turns right? I'm curious to know if it would be worth the investment.

I added a Strut Brace and Sway Bar to my 09 Max. The difference in Handling is like night and day.

Hey blaze or anyone else on this thread do you happen to know the difference with the two different intakes on the stillen site. one is dry air and the other is pre - oiled. witch one would be better since they are both the same price. Thanks.
