I'm just wondering as Fedex told me they got it last Thursday morning. I haven't received either an e-mail or a phone call yet.
I gave them my cell number to call me while I'm in Toronto.

Daniel,

Unfortunately, I have found Vortech to be pretty crappy communicators, it seems like you have to hold their hand through the whole process to make sure you are not forgotten. The first time I dealt with them, I gave them a lot of leeway, and it took me 2 months to get my blower back.

In my case I sent them my blower for blade replacement and they kept it for 10 days. I got it back on the 13th day. I was one of the few that never got any problems from them.

Spoke to Mike at Vortech after work. After being greeted with a "waddaya want?" attitude I find out that they still haven't opened up my blower. Tells me that they'll get back to me by Friday.

Latest Update
Well guys, I spoke with Jaime and was told that my blower needed just minor repairwork. I found out that all I needed was to replace the bearings. Cost: $363.95 and they hope to have it shipped out by next Tuesday. I just hope that it does get out by then.
What surprised him was that I was not told of their findings and that he gave the papers to Mike so that he could call me. Hearing that just ticked me off
So if you have to deal with Vortech deal with Jaime as he has more customer service experience than Mike.

Anyhow I'm calling it a day and going back to my hotel room. Catch you all on Monday!

Bearings and seals replaced that is the correct price right there. I was close give or take $19. Hope everything goes well. That is the dude I spoke with myself.

Well, their customer service just sucks. They don't even bother replying to my emails and too cheap to call me long distance. Looks like I'll have to call them today for an update.

Spoke to Mike and my blower is being sent out today. Unfortunately he doesn't have a tracking number for me. Looks like I'm going to beat that thing home first on Friday.

Vortech customer service really sucks big time!
They're too cheap to call me and too lazy to even email me back on the courier they're using and supply me with the tracking number.
I just hope they did the job right so I don't have to deal with them again. Anyhow I'm sending them a complaint email.

Called Vortech to get a tracking number. Guess what? My blower was sent out yesterday by UPS, standard method! I left a phone message for them to ship by air! Well, I hope I can get it soon so I can install it this weekend.

I called Jamie at Vortech and got an RA for my V1 on Tuesday. I sent it UPS ground Tuesday so it should get to them on 12/10. I'm betting it wont get back to me till after Christmas.

On a side note about some of the problems us Maxima owners have had with Vortech... It seems that some people send the blower back to Vortech with the mounting plate and/or the pulley still installed? WTF is wrong with you guys? Vortech makes the blower, Stillen makes the kit. Strip it down if you send it back to Vortech, or be prepeared for a long wait and maybe a return and request you deal with Stillen. This is perfectly resonable to me. I laughed my but off when Jamie told me about this.

I can't believe this!
I just checked my tracking number and this is what I saw:

FREDERICTION, NB, CA INADEQUATE MERCHANDISE DESCRIPTION

What the H*LL is my blower doing on the east coast when I'm on the west coast?
Now I wonder whats going to happen???

Should I call UPS???

I spoke with Delio before hand and knew all about the blower just being vortech and Jamie understood and took the blower back without having to go through stealin. You will not get your blower back for at least 3 weeks and you can mark my words on that.

what kinda morons would send the blower back with the plate and pulley attached

I called up UPS and found out that Canada Customs didn't have enough information on my blower. The gal at Vortech supplied them with the info on why its coming from the U.S. and so hopefully it will clear customs this afternoon. That means I'll get it delivered tomorrow. What an ordeal!

Now I can start to put it together on the weekend!
