Ive decided to go back NA

Psych

Well at least for a little while. My blower is leaking oil from the input shaft behind the pulley so it needs a rebuild. The V1 has ~70k on it now so it is ready for a rebuild, not to mention I spin it over its recomended limit

So, I took the blower and bracket off the car and removed the blower from the bracket. I had to put the bare bracket back on to to hold the alternator in place. I then put the factory belt back on, put my SC CAI filter on the crossover pipe, plugged the oil feed line, capped the oil return line, pinched shut the BOV vacume line and it runs just fine NA. Talk about quiet too, WOW!!! It is slow though So this is a plus for the SC-vs-Turbo debate. The switch back took me 1.5hrs and the car runs just fine.

I wonder if I will get any more boost out of a refreshend blower?

What did you use to plug the oil feed line? I found some brass plugs but they weren't the right size.

My blower is finally in UPS's hands, a week after they tell me its going out the door.

Could the upcoming colder weather give you a bit more boost and make it hard to tell? Just curious...?

Rebuild, I dont think the stock motor can reliably take more then 13.5psi. I hope some one proves me wrong A 3.5L will make more power than a blower upgrade will give me, and I will probably be ok runing less boost.

So have you been looking into what might be needed for the 3.5 to drop in? Do things match up somewhat well?

yes...and not to mention it is an iron block, closed-deck motor that was designed to handle lots of boost.
