Mardi,

Is that octane guide talking about for racing or everyday driving. Becuase I know you aren't filling up with 104 octane at every fillup.

Thats at full timing advance before detonation on a 4.6L v8

Our timing is VERY conservative, we have some room.

Mardigras,

At what fuel ratio do our maxes start detonating?

ummmm, 12.0 to 12.5:1 at higher boost levlels is the best. But detonation is more related to ignition timing and peak cylinder preasures.

My set up starts to lightly detonate at 10psi at ~5700rpms I use the J&S to retard the ignition timing a nd start the combustion process later in the power stroke so more of the coubusting gas's are vented thus keeping cylinder pressure down a bit.
