Why not more SC+MEVI people?

My current GD is closed, so this is in no way a plug.

BUT - I haven't heard much buzz on people with the SC getting a MEVI.

Strange, because I gained +36hp, 20tq and MardisGrasMax gained +30 or so hp and some tq also.

So who else out there now has the SC+MEVI?

Dyam it feels good when I hit 5k RPM.....

I've got SC+MEVI ... sitting in my garage waiting for enough time for me to install them. I never thought I'd say this, but maybe I just need to pay somebody to do it for me. At least then I could enjoy it... Naaaaah.

His SC is now on my car, as some of you know.

Hmm VI + turbo. 1st was probably one of the VG guys as the VG has a type of VI. For VI closer to what the 4-gen has, Sam had a turbo on his VE30DE over 1.5 years ago.

Anyone no if a super charged 3rd gen with the DOHC motor? I've been looking at the 4th gen motor with a super charger and the motor looks quite similar as far as possible fitment. Any info would be helpful.

I don't have the comparisons scanned.

But I went from 231hp peak without the MEVI (SC Only, untuned) to 262hp peak on the very next run with the MEVI activated, and no additional tuning.

BIG Difference!

thanks for the info, but I meant, while actually driving, let's say going 55 and downshifting into second with SC and doing the same with SC and MEVI?

It's insane - Sometimes I get torque steer on the freeway at 50.

I did have a time when the MEVI relay came unhooked, so effectively I had no MEVI - it sucked. The difference is night and day. I noticed it instantly.

Like I said - +36hp - you can REALLY feel it.

Wow! That's got to feel good. Looks like I may have time to get my SC and MEVI in next week after our move across town (first move in 16 years - amazing how much stuff is tucked away in every corner of the house).

Oops, just realized I wrote it wrong (after looking at my sheets)

It was 231 ----> 267hp.

Sometime soon I hope, Ian!
After repairing the blower, getting the 3.33" pulley, Budget Y-pipe and buying the boost and EGT gauges and pod I've already blew enough on Christmas toys!
