Question about SC'ing (I know nothing)

I've got a 97 SE 5sp with 90,000 miles. I just bought it with 87k miles and it runs GREAT. Everything seems perfect with it. I don't know much about Supercharging a max, but I'd like to do it to mine at some point. I would have to have someone else install it, and am willing to spend around $4000. I've heard of the Stillen V2 supercharger and some turbos for the max. I've also heard that a supercharger is less damaging than a turbo to the car. My car is completely stock and all I plan on doing is a Y-pipe in the next few months. Can anyone give links or advice on what I might be looking for to upgrade? Is there anything that could possibly happen to my engine/transmission by keeping everything stock and having 90k miles (probably close to 100 by the time I'd do the upgrade)? The more info the better!
Thanks!

"... I've also heard that a supercharger is less damaging than a turbo to the car ..." Yah, right ! Who told you this? ... Stillen?

To date more people have blown up engines with S/C than with turbos but then again there are far fewer turboed cars. So you can twist data any way you want to! There's a lot of information on the org, you just need to look. There are also many friendly people who are willing to give comments.

Good Luck!
