Turbo Manifold Routing

I can't find any pictures on the web of a turbo exhaust manifold setup for the 4th gen. Does anybody have pictures of their manifold before they installed it? Thanks

I dont think people will post this kind of pictures. They spent hours and hours on R&D of the kit.

I was crawling around my car last night, and the way that guy on the website routed his manifold is exactly how I figured it had to be. Thanks!

except possibly the shorter-low mounted turbo setup such as sx7r, but stil the same deal, routed forwards - not backwards+uturn.

yes, i do - unless specifically asked for or needed to be backwards+uturn setup.

I have run them both ways, and highly prefer the forward routed with 90deg turn to the turbo, opposed to a reverse routed w/ 180deg and 90 + pipe. granted there is more to them than that... it helps on spool a noticeable amount.

It's interesting that you route them that way. The only pics I've seen of Turbo piping was On_alerts, and after seeing how ih was, I desided it will be much easier to rout the pipes either forward ond over, or try and run them along my manual trannie and up. Either way, I want to keep the turbo low....

I've been trying to do some research online to see if there is some type of secondary oil pump that can be used for the turbo alone. Don't know. Right now everything is in the "ideas" stage....

...just run a dry sump system...end of problem Whats the most ideal turbo for 325hp and street driving? I need one that is totally streetable...I think I'd also prefer to run a smaller turbo at the upper end of its capacity instead of trying to turn a bigger turbo at half its capacity. T3?

In my opinion...

The best manifold routing would be twin 2" pipes to a divided housing turbo, routed forward like hal's setup. That would be hot! (separating exhaust pulses apparently aids spoolup). If noone else does it, ill whip one up this winter, maybe sooner.

However, Then you get into problems of turbo movement. My setup (and I assume PFI's???) uses a flex before the turbo, and i have the turbo mounted to the body. Routing the piping forward neccesitates flex after the turbo. I suppose it is possible to put flex in before, but the flex sections create unwanted turbulence.

I think someone should really look into doing this. I think it would be possible to run the front bank in front of the engine (w/out removing fans) and maybe the rear bank to the drivers side of the engine over the tranny??? But running them both forward is definitely an option. We should work together...

Haha. Ever price out a dry sump oil pan/return system?

Maybe one for just the turbo oil return line but then again that's not really a dry sump system
