Well you have to set the knock levels first. Go to the settings and set the knock to the RPM levels it asks for.

Then see what the knock levels show when you are driving. If you see it go up while driving hard, its just saying there is a slight knock going on. But Im still trying to figure out how accurate it is because certain people believe it doesnt work correctly and some believe it dont work at all on OBDII cars.

I don't think it works at all. It just starts out low and keeps getting higher the further you drive. It doesn't increase on WOT at all and the setting become useless after driving for a few minutes because it just keeps slowly climbing.

This is the second car I have tried it on and it reacts the same.

The DSM guys are right I guess, about saying it only works on OBDI cars.

If anyone gets it to do something that resembles a proper knock count let me know how you did it.

I couldn't even get it to "program" itself - it will let me view the knock count in the knock setup menu, but revving the car at 1500/3500rpm in and out of gear did diddly squat.
